Pre- school

Learning through play! This structured yet flexible daily programme ensures a strong foundation for developing minds.

The Pre-School Department works with children aged 3-6 years.

Grade 000        3-4 years of age           4hrs                  8am-12pm                1 class

Grade 00          4-5 years of age           4hrs                  8am-12pm                1 class             

Grade R           5-6 years of age           4hrs 30min       8am-12:30pm          2 classes

Curriculum:

In Pre-School we follow the National Curriculum for Grade R and this is reflected in our June and December Report. Grade 00 and grade 000 follow a simplified version, in line with their developmental stages.  

The daily integrated approach includes outdoor, art and cognitive development. Pre-School places great importance on play and perceptual skills which sets the scene for active and effective learning in formal school years. 

Parent/Teacher Interviews:

March and September (daily contact with parents is always welcome)

Reports:

Assessment reports on each child are given to parents in June and December.
